Encho Pironkov was born on November 9, 1932 in the village of Rozovets, Plovdiv region. He graduated from high school in Plovdiv (1952). His distinctive artistic talent made him famous in 1961, when his paintings were shown at the First National Youth Exhibition in Sofia. Since then Pironkov has had numerous solo exhibitions in Plovdiv, Sofia and abroad: Berlin, Bologna, Budapest, Warsaw, Dresden, Cologne, Leipzig, London, etc. He has worked in the field of applied monumental art, mosaics, frescoes, stained glass, wood and metal sculptures and stage decoration. His works are in the possession of many public and private galleries in Bulgaria, USA, Austria, Spain, Denmark, Mexico, Japan, France, Germany, and elsewhere.
